The Person

To see and to be seen. That’s the main purpose of this website. But believe it or not, in general I am an introvert person that does not feel the need to stand in the focus of attention so much.

That might sound strange, since a teacher does exactly that. But everyone has his personal comfort zone. And the dance floor is one of mine.

How it began

More than 25 years from now I made my first steps in ballroom dancing. I was a teenager of 17 years old, a stay-at-home, with almost no friends. I was sick of being on my own completely, so I reached out. I do not know anymore why it had to be ballroom dancing, but there was an affinity to dance already in my childhood and early youth when making use of dance projects in school.

And since then I never really left the floor. There were some breaks, some struggles, yes, but over the years I first grew to a competition dancer and later to a teacher and trainer as well. I also grew as a person.

And the other comfort zones?

Behind the camera for example. As a photographer, specialized in interior, architecture, people and, who would have thought, in dance sport. For a couple of years I was self-employed as such, working mainly B2B. It’s a hard business, but I don’t want to miss the experience.

The other one is the street. Some years ago, actually for practical reasons, I decided to get my motorcycle driving licence. Looking back it’s almost a funny story since it wasn’t free from struggles and obstacles. But, after all, I enjoy riding a lot. Either after work or during the weekend, and sometimes together with my backpack.
